I really did not know much about my brother growing up because I was quite young when he left Nigeria. We reconnected via phone calls and visits. I came to really know him when I moved to America and was finally exposed to my fun, loving, full of life, approachable, caring, kind, firm and above all, thoughtful “brother Akin”.
Over the years, he has been my ear; always ready to listen, engage and constantly checking up on me and my children, which is priceless and extremely thoughtful. I will forever be grateful to God for blessing me with Akogun.
This tribute is unable to capture how amazing Akogun is so I will just go ahead and wish my brother a happy birthday and I pray that Allah grants all his heart’s desires according to His will. Amin.
